Main Missions

Define, communicate, provide technical support and monitor the execution of the medical strategy for Immunology/Asthma or products within GEM countries, ensuring adequate prioritization and integration with the GBU medical strategy, and its alignment with the key roles of medical affairs:  relevant evidence generation, leading scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement and insight generation.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Contribute to the construction of the GEM SGz medical strategy of the corresponding TA or products, integrating SGz GBU objectives with regional/local needs and contexts.

Compile and prioritize GEM SGz countries unmet needs and perspectives and provide feedback to the SGZ Therapeutic Area Head, SGz Medical head, and Global TAs so that it is well represented in global medical affairs strategies and tactic plans.

Advice and provide strategic support to regional/local medical activities relevant to the launch of pipeline products, seeking opportunities to accelerate time-to-market and launch excellence.

Provide scientific and strategic input to local teams in the development, implementation and oversight of company sponsored trials or registries, from Study Outline to Study report and publication.

Provide input to local teams with regard to investigator sponsored studies and its review process.Liaise with local medical teams to build strategic publication plans and critically review publications from countries related to the corresponding TA or products.

Define a specific strategy forKOL/KSH engagement in the corresponding regions. Support identification of regional and global KOLs/KSHs, maintaining and facilitating contact with these physicians, key opinion leaders and scientific associations/societies.

Ensure adequate networking of local/regional KOLs/KSHs with global teams and KOLs/KSHs.

Managing in specific cases KOL engagements from countries in GEM to maximized KOL availability.

Organize advisory boards, round tables, symposia, speaker tours and other external meetings with key internal/external stakeholders relevant to the SGz medical strategy and in line with the company´s standard operating procedures.

Support the medical -marketing brand team in organizing training meetings and external CME and developing training materials when applicable.

Review GEM promotional and non-promotional materials and ensure compliance with global scientific standards across the GEM GBU.

Review, analyze and provide recommendations of scientific literature for use as communication and medico-marketing materials.

Liaise with medical operations to plan, monitor and control medical programs to ensure on-time deliverables with the desired quality standards.

Participate in the GEM SGz Study Review Committee and Medical Council to review regional or local study proposals and medical programs, highlighting opportunities and risks, or proposing innovative and relevant solutions to common strategic needs.

Manage assigned activities with service providers to guarantee contract fulfillment in accordance with project requirements and customer specifications, when applicable.Support other areas/activities related to product strategic actions, such as: market access, PPM, communication, portfolio management, among othersRequested



Education and Background

Degree in Medicine. Postgraduate education in scientific/clinical or administrative disciplines is preferred.5+ years’ experience in medical affairs, including experience and understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment.

Previous experience in related TA/BU as medical manager is preferred.
